Young Performers Workshop chamber music for strings, winds and piano
Described as "sparkling diamond of an experience," the Young Performers Workshop is a chamber music program that gives young musicians the invaluable experience of collaborating directly with one another. Students are placed in small ensembles by level, and work with professional coaches to perform a major chamber music piece. Over the course of eight sessions, participants develop active listening, practice non-verbal communication and acquire effective rehearsal techniques. The Workshop will take place in the natural setting of Triad Chamber Music Society's 10-acre compound in Winston Salem and culminate in a public concert at the Shallowford Presbyterian Church in Lewisville, North Carolina.
Eligibility: Player of strings, woodwinds and piano, ages 11 through 19.
Acceptance is by audition. Deadline for application/audition is March 1, 2015.
