YOUNG PERFORMERS WORKSHOP
September 19 - November 14, 2015

The Young Performers Workshop is a chamber music program for middle/high school age players. Established in 2006 by artistic director Grace Anderson, who has recently been nominated for Swalin Best Educator Award by the North Carolina Symphony, the workshop teaches young musicians how to collaborate directly with one another and lead effective rehearsals, with emphasis on listening, analysis, and communication. Participants have hailed from across North Carolina, and many have gone on to form chamber ensembles of their own. This Fall, the Young Performers Workshop will take place on Saturdays. from September 19 to November 14, and conclude with a public concert.

CELLO RETREAT WEEKEND
September 5 - 7, 2015

Cello choir to play David Bruebeck's Take Five, Bach's chorale from St. Matthew's Passion and others. Plus masterclasses on the Bach suites, technique and improv.
